CryptoLocker (1 Variant) This particular Malware/Ransomware
program actually encrypts a users documents, pdf files and more. It
claims that if you send them money, they will send you the decryption
codes. This is a serious problem as we are sure you will not get a code
even if you send them money but also the encryption used has not been
broken as of 10/10/2013. Research on CryptoLocker
has basically said
that you have no chance of recovering any data from the files encrypted
by this Ransom ware
TekXpress has been successful in
removing CryptoLocker
but the encryption on the users files has
prevented the recovery of any data from any of the documents.
FBI Virus (3 Variants) Looks
official, has an official FBI shield and even claims to have taken your
picture. but do you really think the FBI will let you off for a payment
of a few hundred dollars? The first Variants were relatively easy to be
removed but the latest Variant is a Root Kit infection and requires
special steps and programs to remove it.
